The City of Rohnert Park cut the ribbons on the Sunrise All Weather Field and Pickleball Court signifying the reveal of two new amenities. The park is located on the East side of town at 5201 Snyder Lane and encompasses 9 night-lighted acres. Mayor Joseph T. Callinan noted “Nothing beats getting your heart racing like some outdoor activity. Whether you’re enjoying the all-weather soccer fields or swinging your racket with a pickleball match - Sunrise Park won’t disappoint.” The Park includes the six new pickleball courts --the first of their kind in Rohnert Park. Other notable recent updates include resurfacing, repaving, and restriping of basketball and tennis courts, and the parking lot. The new amenities are in addition to the 10 individual picnic tables with barbecues, play equipment, lacrosse, football and softball fields. All city parks are open to the public in accordance with current Health Order guidelines. Certain restrictions may apply and appropriate signage is posted.
